Diamond Head Homes and Condos for Sale

Neighborhood information about Diamond Head: Diamond Head or "Mount Leahi" is the most recognized and photographed landmark in Hawaii. It wasn't until the 19th century that Mount Leahi got its current name. A group of sailors found what they thought were diamonds in the crater. It turned out they were just worthless calcite crystals (limestone). In any event, the name Diamond Head stuck. Some of Diamond Head's attractions include: hiking the trail up Diamond Head crater, watching the windsurfers and whales off the Diamond Head lookout, the beaches, Kapiolani Park and the annual Crater Festival. Diamond Head is a great location for an active lifestyle. The island's top runners, triathletes, swimmers and paddlers use it as their training ground. The natural beauty doesn't seem to hurt either. A crater surrounded by a gorgeous ocean in the middle of the Pacific.....
