Kaimala Marina is one of Hawaii Kai's first townhome projects on the east side of the marina. There's all sorts of floor plans, that range from 1 to 4 bedrooms. The prices vary too depending whether or not you have a marinafront unit or one that backs up to Lunalilo Home Road. Although a much different project than it's highrise neighbor next door - the Esplanade, the Kaimala Marina townhomes are cozy and they also have boat docks available for water enthusiasts. There's also a nice swimming pool. If you are looking for covered parking however, Kaimala Marina might not be for you as all the stalls are exposed to the elements.
Since Kaimala Marina was built in 1972, you have all sorts of levels of interior improvements. I've seen some with shag carpet and others with new hardwood floors or tile. As I mentioned above, there is a difference in pricing depending on the location in the project. If you can afford one that is on the water, I think it will be money well spent over the long haul. Hawaii Kai is one of the few places in Hawaii where you can paddle out from your own boat dock.
