Neighborhood Information about West Hills: West Hills is the first neighborhood of single family homes when you take Palahia St. to the west off of Makakilo Drive. The first homes were completed in 1990 and continued throughout the decade. Although the 1990's wasn't the ideal climate for real estate development in Hawaii (with a rear view mirror), these homes in West Hills were built to last. They're all detached on R-5 zoned lots. Some of these home owners have added swimming pools and many of these West HIll homes can have nice views.
There were several 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom floor plans early on at West Hills that were 1,370, 1,432 and 1,540 square feet. From there, there were another handful of 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom layouts and there were even larger 4 and 5 bedroom homes that go up to just under 4,000 square feet.
There are 2 sections of where homes were built in West Hills.
