Neighborhood Information about Malaekahana: Malaekaha is a beautiful stretch of beach between Kahuku and Laie on Oahu’s North Shore. In addition to a state park along Malaekahana Bay, there’s a stretch of beach homes that traditionally have been 2nd homes to wealthy or well to do Kamaaina Families that live in town to get away on the weekends.

What’s been nice about the residential lots in Malaekahana is they were all 1 acre, plus which offered a fair amount of privacy. However, in recent years some developers have caught on that they are zoned R-5, Now, some have been CPR’d (converting them into smaller “condominiumized” lots).

The current homes for sale in Malaekahana are on the ocean side of Kamehameha Hwy, while Gunstock Ranch covers most of the mountain side of the highway.
