The Diamond Head Beach Hotel is the only true "Condo-tel" on the Gold Coast at Diamond Head that allows short term rentals. The building primary function was a hotel for the majority of its history. In the early 2000's the units were sold off individually as condos. Although many of them still are run like a "hotel", they are all individually owned and are available for either owner occupants, short or long term rentals. Along with the Lotus and Kaimana Beach Hotel, these are my recommended places to stay if you're in town for a short visit since most of the Gold Coast building have rental restrictions. Since the Diamond Head Beach Hotel is Leasehold you may need to check with your lender to see whether or not it's possible to get a loan.
