Neighborhood information about Mariners Ridge: In addition to Kamehame Ridge, Mariners Ridge is just one of a few ridges in Hawaii Kai that offer incredible views of both the marina and ocean. Access to the ridge is just off Hawaii Kai Drive once you pass the Moana Kai and Nanea Kai town homes past the Post Office. The main street is Kaluanui with takes you to the top off the ridge. Having worked at the fire station in Hawaii Kai for many years, one thing I recall is the water pressure on the ridge is typically quite strong. There is also a really nice hiking trail, however it is now closed to the public. Regardless though, the views for the residents that live there can be breathtaking.
