Neighborhood information about Kamilo Nui: Kamilo Nui is its own little neighborhood developed by DR Horton at the end of Hawaii Kai Drive, past the Anchorage and Lalea. Originally, the project was sold as "Le'Olani", however it is now defined as Kamilo Nui when searching in MLS. Most the homes were completed and built around 2003-2004 and built with steel framed construction. At the time, they were selling on average for $1 million from the developer. I also recall similar floor plans were available in Makakilo for less than half the price. It just goes to show how location, location and location drive price. Living in Hawaii Kai is hard to beat.

What is interesting about this dead end portion of Hawaii Kai drive is that at one point during the master plan of Hawaii Kai it was supposed to link up with Hawaii Kai Drive on the other (east) side of the marina. At this point, much of that is still agriculture land owned by Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate. We'll see what lies in the future...
There typically isn't too much inventory for sale in Kamilo Nui. Since the construction is relatively new, the homes don't last long on the market.
