Lalea at Hawaii Kai was developed by Castle and Cooke in the mid-late 1990's. There were 4 phases of development and each are listed separately in our MLS. I have consolidated them here to keep things simple. There's also seldom much for sale, which shows the desirability and pride of ownership in the project. The first phase was the largest with 290 units and was built closest to the ocean (makai side). The next three phases were built progressively back in the valley with the fourth phase being the closest to the mountain (mauka side). The first and second phases had a few termite issues early on and have since been remedied with Sentricon baiting systems to prevent further ground termites. Like I said earlier, these were steel framed, so the theory is the bones should be strong.
The bulk of the units in the project consist of the 2 and 3 bedroom products, whereas the 1 and 4 bedroom products are more rare. I've sold units in phases 1, 3 and 4 and know the project well. There's also a swimming pool, common area park, club house and barbecue area. Below you'll find all of the available listings for sale at Lalea. If you're considering a move to Lalea at Hawaii Kai or own a unit there and want to sell it for top dollar, feel free to contact me for more information.
