Neighborhood Information about Enchanted Lake: Enchanted Lake is great neighborhood in the heart of Kailua as it’s close to most of the shopping in town, as well as having it’s own Enchanted Lake Shopping Center. It’s also a 5 min drive to the beach and close to Kalanianaole Hwy. to get access to town via the Pali or heading east around Waimanalo.
The main roadways in Enchanted Lake are Keolu Drive, Akumu Street, Kahili Street and Wanaao Road. Most of the homes in Enchanted Lake were built around in the 1960's and were single wall (redwood) framed construction. Over the years, many of the homes have been upgraded or increase in size with additions.
Within Enchanted Lake, you have a bunch of single family home product as well as a condo project, called Lakeview. Some of the Enchanted Lake homes are waterfront on the lake. The lake itself is brackish water and can connect to the ocean at Kailua Beach Park (depending on the time of year). Often times, sand will clog the spit at the beach and if you’re on a kayak or SUP, you may have to walk across to the ocean.
