The Esplanade was Hawaii Kai's first luxury marinfront complex. It is also the only highrise (7 or more stories) in Hawaii Kai that fronts the marina. Built in 1973, the Esplanade was ahead of its time. There's a walking path along a marinafront promenade that is outfitted with boat docks, which are available to owners on a first come, first served basis. In addition to the tennis courts, putting green, gym and Jacuzzi, the Esplanade boasts one of the largest swimming pools on any condominium project in Honolulu. There's a security guard and resident manager on site as well. The main entry/lobby area can be used for private functions and there's a lovely koi pond along the walkway.

I've had the fortunate opportunity to sell one of the nicest penthouses in there. Buildings 3 and 4 are closest to the street and are comprised of 1 bedroom units. All the units have ample parking as the larger the unit, the more stalls you have (ie. most 3 bed penthouses have 3 stalls and 2 bed units have 2 stalls).
