Neighborhood Information about Kaneohe Woods: Kaneohe Woods is a small neighborhood on the mauka (mountain) side of Hale Kou before you reach Waokele Pond. Most of the homes lie on Haamalie Street and Haamalie Place. Most of the homes in Kaneohe Woods were developed in the 1980's. The streets have sidewalks (not all Kaneohe Neighborhoods do) and underground utilities. These homes are on lots zoned R-5 and due to the era in which they were built, there should be any issues of asbestos or lead based paint.
