Neighborhood Information about Waiahole: Waiahole is a neighborhood off Kamehameha Hwy. in Kaneohe and is famous for the Waiahole Poi Factory. Waiahole is home to many farmers and most of the land is zoned either agriculture or country. There's a mix of fee simple land and leasehold land with land leases from either the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) or the State of Hawaii for farmers.
Waiahole gets some of the most consistent rainfall of any anywhere on Oahu, which is why everything is so green and also why it's a great place to grow food. Most of the residents of Waiahole are anti-development and rightfully so. Stepping into Waiahole reminds one of old Hawaii and these are lands that should be conserved from future development.
Existing homes and land for sale in Waiahole don't come up that often. The ones that do are typically on Waiahole Valley Road. If there's anything for sale in MLS, we have it featured below. However, keep in mind if you see any homes that are leasehold, it's most likely because they're on DHHL land and one must have Hawaiian blood to purchase. If you're thinking of buying or selling in Waiahole, feel free to contact us for more information.
