The Aloha Surf Hotel is a condotel on Kanekapolei St. on the mauka (mountain) side of Waikiki near the Ala Wai. Built in 1968 as a hotel, it was converted to condos in 2005 by Carmel Partners. These hotel sized units aren't equipped with kitchens and are seen as "lodging units" by lenders. The front desk is managed by Aqua Hotels and owners can place their units in the hotel pool. The parking is controlled by the HOA, so the units typically don't come with parking. Guests, however can pay for parking on a daily rate upon availability.
Outside of a cool/trendy lobby, Aloha Surf Hotel has a pool and BBQ area and there's also community laundry on site.
